Overspeed protection on steam turbines
Design
19‘‘-system with continuous 3-channel design.
Function:
Speed signals are evaluated through channels in compact modules. Each compact modul comprises a basic module, relais module and optionally a frequenzy/current converter. Four limiting values can be monitored in any compact module. A 2 out of 3‘-choice is made out of these limiting values. The system is permanently performing self-tests.
The sensor-monitoring checks permanently funcional efficiency of the sensors. An integrated test generator is permanently and completely testing each channel during continuous operation. If overspeed protection and control system TURCON D are operated together, testing can be performed menu-driven at the control system console . |
